Oh, Evelyn, I know the feeling only too well. The worst is that things like that are normally said in the children's presence. I'm so sorry this world is so terrible. It's hard when people can't see beyond skin colour. It's the reason I started this column because life is hard, but a bit harder for interracial couples.
